OUR MISSION
The Cumberland County Black Union’s mission is to promote and to increase self-sufficiency within the Black community of Cumberland County. Economics, Education, and Empowerment serve as the foundation of our union as we strive to break generational curses through the development and support of programming that fosters a growth mindset and a progressive lifestyle for African-Americans.
ABOUT US
The Cumberland County Black Union (CCBU) was founded by Mr. & Mrs. Faulk in early April 2020. In an effort to build a group of progressive, like-minded African-Americans to promote and to increase self-sufficiency within the Black community of Cumberland County, the Faulk’s wrote a public letter of intent which was shared across their Facebook platforms. Those who were interested joined the Faulk’s on Thursday, April 30th for the first ever CCBU meeting. The group of members continues to grow as information about the Union continues to be shared.
